RoHS-direktivet 2011/65/EU (EN50583)
Moulded items: Cast parts supplied by A/S Secure in aluminum alloys, zinc alloys and stainless steel alloys comply with all RoHS Directive regulations. These are RoHS compliant/approved. Red goods alloy RG5 (CuSn5Pb5Zn5) contains 5% lead and is thus not RoHS compliant, as the limit for lead in copper alloys is 4%. MS65 (CuZn33Pb2), which only contains 2% lead, can be used instead.
Surface treatment / Chromatization: Steps have been taken to use chromates without Chromium VI at our respective surface treatments, so that all deliveries per 1.7.2006 does not contain Chromium VI. In some cases, color changes may occur as a result of the new chromates, but this does not affect the corrosion protection ability. Surface treatment such as paint that is pre-treated with chromatization is RoHS compliant.
Chrome plating: Bright and matt chrome plating. Steps have been taken to use chromates without Chromium VI at our respective surface treatments, so that all deliveries per 1.7.2006 does not contain Chromium VI. Chrome plating is typically done with Chrom V and is RoHS compliant.
